Hi - I was wondering what ideas anyone has for a 1st birthday gift. My friend's daughter is having her first birthday in a couple of weeks and I'm at my wits end what to get her.
I don't think she's really old enough to play with many toys yet and I don't want to buy something that just gets added to the pile.
If you go to a toy store they have the appropriate ages on the toys. Fisher-Price and Leapfrog all have great toys. Plain wooden blocks are great toys for 1 year olds.

How about a zoo membership? You could roll it up and tie a ribbon around it and maybe attach it to a little teddy bear?
