Banana Strawberry Split

by Sally
(California, USA)

Banana Strawberry Split

Banana Strawberry Split

Try this Banana Strawberry Split at your next birthday party. It is sweet (without the sugar). A simple but stunning treat I saw at a recent kids' birthday party.

Ingredients:

Bananas
Strawberries
Yogurt (frozen)
Wafers

Slice the bananas down the middle. Put some strawberries aside to puree for the sauce. Cut the remaining strawberries in half and sprinkle over the bananas. Using a watermelon scoop (held under hot water for a few seconds) scoop some nice round pieces of frozen yogurt and place on top of the bananas and strawberries. Puree the strawberries you have set aside and pour over the bananas, strawberries and yogurt.

Place a couple of wafer biscuits on top.

Hint: If you like, you can add a little castor sugar to the strawberry puree to sweeten it up a little.

This is a really yummy recipe that my kids loved to eat. They thought it was a special ice-cream treat but in fact it was very healthy!
