Birthday Party Planner
Using a birthday party planner is paramount for giving a successful birthday party.
For young children the birthday party itself is the central happening. They are unlikely to understand or appreciate fully the amount of planning and preparation that goes into their special day. We hope the birthday party planner below helps you with planning and organising your child's next birthday party.
Plan:
Pre-party...
- Decide on what type of party to have, who to invite and when to have it
- Make or buy invitations and send them out 3 weeks before the party
- Plan the food and cake
- Shop for food, decorations, party bags, and other treats
- Buy a birthday present!
- Put time aside to make party decorations with the birthday child
- Organise what games the children are going to play and what you will need i.e. prizes, music
- Prepare food and cake
- Make the Party Bags
- Ensure there is film in the camera and allocate a person to take photos
The Night Before...
- Finish off any cooking
- Decorate the Cake
- Hang up decorations
- Tidy the house, (read the Safety Checklist)
The Day of the Party...
- Set the table and put out the nibblies
- Set up equipment for games
- Allow plenty of time for the birthday child to get dressed
