Cow jumped over a Star
The cake was made in two sections. I had a friend make an allergy free cake, while I made a chocolate mud cake.
Store bought fondant was used and I coloured one lot half blue and left the other half white, and coloured the other lot green.
The white fondant was rolled out flat and I used star cookie cutters to make different sized stars and stuck cake maker sticks through them and let them dry. I used silver glitter (edible from a cake store) and painted each star.
The cow was created using a home made sugar paste (included icing sugar and glucose and a few ingredients that escape me at the moment!). The cow was created over the space of a few weeks. The black icing was created with black colour from a cake store and rolled into the icing. I used a sugar and water mix to "glue" pieces together, as well as some of the cake floral sticks.
When the cakes were ready I rolled out the fondant and used a butter cream icing and then layed the green fondant on the cake, smoothing and trimming as I went. I cut out shapes for the blue cake and stuck them together with skewers and then covered in buttercream icing and then the blue fondant.
The stars were stuck in randomly and the large star was propped up with skewers.
Finished off with the grass that was cut just using a knife.
The lettering was scrapbooking chipboard and the number three was hand cut out of fondant.
