You will need....

2 standard cake mixes or double our Butter Cake recipe
2 sponge fingers
200g or 8 oz Butter Cream Icing
3 ice cream wafers
Lollies or sweets
Food colouring

Before cutting and icing your dinosaur cake, put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. This will stop it from crumbling.

Cut up the cakes as shown below, arranging the pieces into a dinosaur shape on a board or tray. Stick them together with Butter Cream Icing.

Here's a picture of what your dinosaur cake should look like before you start icing.

Dinosaur Cake

Liberally cover the whole dinosaur with Butter Cream Icing. Cut the sponge fingers in half and press into position as feet. Also cover these with icing.

Cut the wafers into three triangular pieces and stick them along the top of the dinosaur. Decorate with sweets, using two large ones for the eyes.
