Dorothy The Dinosaur Cake

To make this DOrothy The Dinosaur Cake...First, find a picture of Dorothy the Dinosaur then photocopy it to the size of the cake you want. Cut out the design and place on top of the cake slab and cut around the picture to get the shape.

Then start with the base colour and go from there. Lastly, draw the outline to give the cake more life. Once done add on your decoration and you're done!

It is so easy and rewarding in the end. The kids absolutly loved this cake. My daughter was thrilled and the cake was almost as tall as her so there were a lot of leftovers.

Hi,

I used black gel for the outline. The icing is just butter icing but you can now also buy icing made up at the supermarket.

To get the template I picked a picture out of one of my daughter's coloring books and enlarged it to the size I needed.

Hi - I'm attempting to make this cake for my daughter's second birthday and was wondering what icing you used or how you made it and what did you use for the outline? Really looking forward to seeing my daughter's face when I surprise her with a Dorothy cake :)
