Dorothy The Dinosaur

I made this for my daughter's 2nd birthday just a few weeks ago.

I used 2 x Betty Crocker mud cakes, made 2 separate rectangle cakes.

Then I found a picture in a Wiggles Colouring book of Dorothy so I blew the picture up.

I then cut the pieces out I needed and joined them up.

Firstly I covered with butter icing (this helps keep the cake moist and lasts longer), then used royal icing on top.

The hat is solely made out of royal icing and I found if I did the legs it was going to be a huge cake, so I did a ballet tutu.
