Dress-up Party

Big Brother joining the Dress-up Party
My 5-year old daughter wanted a dress-up party. We went through a couple of second-hand shops and came up with some wonderful dress-ups - scarves, shoes, dresses, hats, handbags.
We put all the clothes in a couple of big cane baskets and surrounded them with balloons. When everyone had arrived and were assembled, they ran to the baskets and the balloons went everywhere. There was lots of chatter and swapping of items.
Just before lunch we had a little 'fashion parade' where the girls paraded their colourful and over-sized outfits down a runway (a strip of carpet in the shape of a 'T' on the back verandah). The giggling was infectious!
We let the girls go home in their dress-ups and made sure everyone had a little handbag so they could put their party bags in there.
