COSTUMES
GAMES Hello Kitty Pillow Game: Fill a pillowcase with some Hello Kitty related items. For example, you could use a stuffed kitty, a hair bow, a ball of yarn, etc. Secure the top of the pillowcase. Give everyone a pen and paper. Normally a cat like Hello Kitty would use her whiskers to feel out what's inside the bag, but since the party guests are humans they'll have to use their hands. Give everyone a turn at feeling and guessing the contents of the bag. Then the players must write them down then take turns in calling out the answers. The person with the most correct guesses wins a prize.
Apple Game: Each pair holds an apple between their foreheads. The leader gives the commands: "Two steps to the left!", "Two steps to the right!", "Jump!", "Sit!" etc. The players try their best to do as the leader commands. When the apple is dropped, the pair is out.
Tell A Story: Give each player a 2 metre long piece of yarn. Then have everyone sit down in a circle. Each player must take turns pretending to be Hello Kitty and wind a ball out of their yarn as they tell a story. When they have finished winding their yarn the next person takes up where they left off and continues their part of the story. As part of the Hello Kitty party game rules, if the player stops talking to think they must also stop winding their yarn and as soon as they run out of yarn to wind they have to stop their story, no matter where it is in the plot. They’ll quickly find that it’s hard to wind a ball of yarn and talk quickly so they’ll have to proceed slowly in order to get their task done. You can give a prize to the last person telling the story. (Or just give everyone a prize for effort!).
Decorate Hello Kitty's Ribbon: Hello Kitty is known for her cute little ribbon worn over her left ear. For this craft you will want to get plain headbands (these can be found at craft stores), white ribbon, fabric markers or coloured sequins. Let the kids decorate the ribbons. Help them tie it in a bow and glue it to the headband. Let the kids wear them throughout the party. These can also be taken home as part of the party favors.
Hello Kitty Cookies: Provide icing and sprinkles and let the kids decorate their own cookies. These cookies can then be eating at the tea party later during the Hello Kitty Birthday party or taken home in the party favors.
Find My Twin:
As we know, Hello Kitty has a twin named Mimmy. For this game the kids need to find their twin. You will need an even number of children for this game. Download and print two pictures each of different Hello Kitty's Friends. Have each child choose a picture out of a hat. Each child needs to act like this animal - using actions and noises. While doing this, they need to find the other person that is acting the same. As soon as they find their twin, they can sit down. The first couple to sit down wins.
Pin the Bow on Hello Kitty: A traditional party game - make Hello Kitty's pink bow out of construction paper.
We have lots more games to choose from and most games can be adjusted to suit the Hello Kitty birthday party theme. Just use a sprinkle of imagination.
