Ladybird Cake
This Ladybird Cake was made out of chocolate sponge cake baked in a pyrex bowl for the shape, this took a long time to bake, almost 2 hours.
I cut 1/3 of the cake and used this as the head. I cut the cake to fill with a chocolate buttercream and crumb coat with buttercream too. I then covered the cake in hand coloured fondant to red and black, added the features and made the grass out of the green fondant icing.
The whole cake was edible and I was immensely proud of this cake. The parents of the children invited to the party have asked me to make cakes for them. I have now made a mini cake making business, but do it more for the pleasure.
