Noah's Ark Cake

Noah's Ark Cake

Noah's Ark Cake

I baked this Noah's Ark Cake for my son's 4th Birthday.

I baked a square chocolate cake and covered it with white fondant icing.

Still using fondant icing, I cut the shapes of several animals - bull, cow, kangaroo, elephant, snakes and lion by freehand and painted some details on them using a brush and food colouring.

I stuck the animals on using a little water painted on the back of the animals.

For Noah's Ark on the top of the cake I tinted white fondant icing to get red, blue and brown and moulded them into the three shapes of the ark.

Edible Paint

I love your cake. I just started making cakes but i just wanted to know what kind of paint and where you get your paint. I color all of my icing but fondant is a lot harder to color. Color markers are the only thing I have found but I would like to use a paint brush, if that is possible. Thank You.
