Number 8 Cake

by Vanya

Number 8 Cake

Number 8 Cake

I baked this Number 8 cake for my daughter's eighth birthday.

I baked two round chocolate cakes using round tins with holes in the middle.

I stuck these together using buttercream icing.

I then covered the whole cake using buttercream icing tinted with green food colouring and sprinkled with small heart-shaped sugared decorations and 'Happy Birthday' sticks.

How do you get the cakes to look conjoined at the sides?

GREAT Idea!

I had the same idea for my sons 8th birthday. Thanks for posting a picture. I plan to make this mid-Sept for my son, maybe throw on some Pokemon candles or something.

I've been looking for something like this for my soon to be 8 year old. I knew that there had to be a way to do it with the pans that I already had.

Thanks!
