Princess Cake

by Kate
(Walsall)

Princess Cake

Princess Cake

This Princess Cake was made with three chocolate sponges, 1 10" tin, 1 8" tin and a pudding bason that will go into the oven.

Cut all three cakes in half and add chocolate butter icing, put them all back together, (you now have 6 layers). Cut a section away from the front of the cake to get the flat front of the skirt.

Smother the cake in chocolate spread and roll out some icing to go over the cake. To make the frills I cut out a round shape with cutters, then cut out the center of the circle - you are left with a big "polo" shape. Cut that in half, take a cocktail stick and roll the edge of the icing to get a frill effect. Keep going around the cake until you reach the top.

Wrap the doll in cling film, make a hole with a small rolling pin, and push the doll through.

Did you put any preservative on the buttercream icing, that is in middle of the cake?
